About Wi24rd
One product at a time.
A trail for every change.
One helmsman. A crew of light.
Wi24rd is a Danish open-source software house. One experienced developer, a crew of AI agents with fixed roles and a method that demands proof for everything.
Behind Wi24rd
The man behind Wi24rd
Founder · inventor, tester and project lead
He took computing as a school elective in the mid-1980s and learnt the binary number system before he had ever seen a graphical user interface. His first computer never met Windows, and he still remembers how blown away he was when Windows 3.1 arrived.
Alongside his day job he built software. Static web pages first, then ASP Classic on SQL Server 2000. One of the first big systems was the dating site SuperDate, which he programmed. It gathered nearly 2,000 profiles in three months, and the trade press wrote about it in February 2001. It launched in the middle of the dot-com crash and closed before anyone charged for online dating – but it was a school he still builds on. Later he developed SiteSystem CMS and sold it for several years, until WordPress and friends took the market. Along the way came a calendar system, a ticket booking system and a banner-ad tracking system. Those are the systems that taught him to build software that is easy for the customer to use and easy for the operator to run.
From 2007 IT security became his trade as well – first close to real incidents, later responsible for building, securing and running large systems from scratch. One of them he hand-coded in Notepad++, just because he could. Today his days are security architecture, monitoring and operations. He became a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) with EC-Council and passed the practical part of ECSA: a month-long penetration test of a bank’s systems in a closed lab, ending in a report of more than 100 pages with every finding proven by file hashes.
He has never left the screen and keyboard. Since then, infrastructure and security filled his days, with SQL and bash scripts as everyday tools. He has used AI seriously since ChatGPT arrived in late 2022 – not least as a searchable library where manuals and documentation become a conversation instead of a lookup. In early 2026 he started writing software again – this time with a crew of more than 50 virtual specialists as an exoskeleton: architects, test writers, security auditors, UX people and proofreaders, each master of a trade and each checking the others.
Today Wi24rd is more inventor, tester and project lead than programmer. The advantage is that he knows what can and cannot be done – and the crew never sulks when he gets out the long screwdriver and tinkers with their work. He has seen every wave arrive: from the command line to Windows, from ASP to the cloud. AI is the biggest of them, and Wi24rd is his answer: no claim without proof, no change without a trace.

The year 2000
The first hacker he tracked
Wi24rd ran a small trap on his own computer. It looked infected with Back Orifice, but whenever someone scanned it, a message popped up on his screen – and he could follow the attacker step by step.
One evening the attacker sent his payload. Wi24rd collected the data, noted the time from the clock on the TV test card and reported it with timestamp and log.
Trace first, conclusion second. Wi24rd still builds on that principle.
Principles
How Wi24rd works.
- Open code by default. Wi24rd FTP and tingsvad.dk are MIT; XDRagon Monitor will be Apache 2.0.
- Upstream over forks. One shared product per project. Forks are welcome – but we don’t make private customer versions of our open-source projects.
- Human-owned, AI-assisted. AI increases pace but is never an unverified source of truth. The method is called ASEWAVE.
- Evidence over narrative. Commits, test output and screenshots – not claims.
- No tracking. Our programs and this website store nothing about you that isn’t necessary.
The method
ASEWAVE – built for the AI era.
Augmented
AI increases development volume. Human ownership keeps direction, scope and judgment grounded.
Solo Engineering
One developer owns the product, priorities, architecture and every destructive decision.
Adversarial Verification
Independent verification checks claims against code, commits and test evidence before changes are accepted.
Evidence
Commit hashes, screenshots, test output and walkthroughs – not narrative claims alone.
From the archive
Wi24rd did not start in 2026.
This was built, sold and used long before the AI wave.
SuperDate
Dating site built in ASP Classic on SQL Server 2000. Nearly 2,000 profiles in three months, and a business model where restaurants paid – not the users.
SiteSystem CMS
An in-house CMS, developed and sold to customers for several years until WordPress and friends took the market. The last installation was shut down a few years ago.
Kalendersystem
A calendar system built to be easy to use for the user – and easy to run for the administrator.
Billetbestilling
A ticket booking system where both the buyer and the person running the event should find their way without help.
Bannersporing
A banner-ad tracking system – and an early lesson in data that others need to be able to trust.
This site
wi24rd.com runs on an open engine.
The engine behind the site is open source and free to take from the tingsvad.dk project. The site’s own content, design and code are private. In the machine room you can see how it all fits together – and measure the infrastructure while you watch.
See it for yourself.
One day, 23 public commits and a release you can download and test yourself.
