What wi24rd.com processes, why – and what never happens.

## In short

wi24rd.com is free and run without profit: free security tips and open-source software. The site sets no cookies, does not track you across sites and sells nothing. Wi24rd only keeps what you send yourself – a message or a sign-up – and only for as long as it is needed.

## Who is behind it

wi24rd.com is run by Wi24rd, a Danish open-source software house. Questions about your data go through the [contact form](https://wi24rd.com/en/contact/).

## When you visit the site

The site runs on Cloudflare. To deliver and protect the pages, Cloudflare processes your IP address and what your browser sends along (such as language and browser version). Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views and speed measurements without cookies and without storing your IP address. “Visitors today” at the bottom counts an irreversible, salted code of today’s date and your IP address; the codes are deleted automatically after two days. The Machine room, the Defences and the Crawlers show aggregate figures from Cloudflare – country, network and which paths were tried – never IP addresses.

## When you write to Wi24rd

The contact form sends your message, category and – if you enter them – your name and email to Wi24rd’s private case list on GitHub (a closed repository only Wi24rd can access). Cloudflare Turnstile checks that you are not a robot, without cookies. Name and email are only used to reply to you and are deleted when the case is closed.

## When you sign up for XDRagon Monitor

Your email, the role you may choose, language and date are stored at Cloudflare (KV). You get one email when XDRagon Monitor is released – then the address is deleted. No newsletter, no sharing with anyone.

## In your own browser

If you choose a light or dark theme, your browser remembers the choice (localStorage). The breadcrumbs remember which pages you came from until you close the tab (sessionStorage). The site also keeps a copy of pages and files in the browser cache so it can be shown offline. None of it is sent to Wi24rd, and you can delete it in your browser settings.

## The legal basis

Running and securing the site: Wi24rd’s legitimate interest in delivering and protecting a site you open yourself (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). Contact: being able to reply to what you write (Art. 6(1)(f)). Sign-up: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by writing (Art. 6(1)(a)).

## Processors and transfers

**Cloudflare, Inc.** (hosting, security, analytics, Turnstile, storage of sign-ups) and **GitHub, Inc.** (Wi24rd’s private case list). Both may transfer data to the US under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. As for every site on Cloudflare, Wi24rd can see requests blocked by the defences in Cloudflare’s security overview for a limited period.

## Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection, and to withdraw consent. Write via the [contact form](https://wi24rd.com/en/contact/). You can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency, [Datatilsynet](https://www.datatilsynet.dk/english).

## myip.wi24rd.com

The free tool myip.wi24rd.com stores nothing. Its third-party cookie test uses Wi24rd’s test domain wi24rd.click and a cookie deleted after 5 seconds. The tool has its own [privacy page](https://myip.wi24rd.com/en/privacy/).
